Toffee Beans joined the clinic team after being adopted by our practice manager from a local rescue, and immediately assumed a leadership role.
Exceptionally social and completely unafraid, Toffee Beans attends the clinic every day we’re open and is happiest when he’s near people — quietly supervising from a chair, greeting clients, or simply napping in his favourite spots. He has a remarkable ability to put people at ease simply by being himself, and has become a much-loved (and very official) member of the team.
While he doesn’t provide clinical advice, Toffee Beans takes his role in comfort and connection very seriously and is proud to contribute to the warm, welcoming atmosphere of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing ambient emotional support
Greeting clients and staff
Supervising from clinician chairs and other strategic locations
Maintaining clinic morale
Professional Boundaries:
Does not provide clinical advice
May request pats at inappropriate times
Important Information
Toffee Beans has a chronic respiratory condition, which occasionally causes him to sneeze (sometimes enthusiastically). While this can look a little dramatic, he is not infectious, and staff clean any sneezes promptly.
What to Expect if Toffee Beans Is Around
Toffee Beans is friendly, confident, and calm, and may choose to sit nearby or say hello.
He is always closely supervised by staff and will never be forced into sessions or interactions.
If you would prefer not to have Toffee Beans nearby at any time, please let our team know — your comfort always comes first.
