Chris Winkler is a Clinical Psychologist with 15 years of experience supporting adults with anxiety and related challenges, including OCD, trauma/PTSD, and depression. Based in Melbourne’s inner north, Chris offers a warm, respectful, and non-judgmental space so that clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful change.


Chris has worked across a range of settings including private practice, public mental health services, and university clinics. He has a special interest helping individuals manage ongoing anxiety using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Schema Therapy. His therapeutic style is collaborative and practical, tailored to each person’s unique goals and circumstances.


He holds a Master of Clinical Psychology from Macquarie University and a PhD from the University of Melbourne, where his research focused on advancing anxiety treatment. Chris is endorsed by the Psychology Board of Australia in Clinical Psychology and is approved to supervise new graduates entering the field.
